Shigeno Daigo is a grade schooler who`s father is a professional baseball player. Being enamored with his father Goro, who once even played in the Major League, Daigo joins the "Mifune Dolphins" baseball team. However, with the pressure of measuring up to his father, he can`t improve enough and quits after less than a year and turns to an uninspired lifestyle. Then, in the spring of 6th grade, a transfer student from the United States arrives. The new baseball anime you`ve heard so much about is finally ready to play ball!

Shigeno Daigo is an elementary student whose father, Goro, is a professional baseball player. Inspired by his father, who was once a Major League player, Daigo started playing baseball with the Mifune Dolphins, a youth team. However, he was unable to live up to the expectations of being the son of a professional, and quit baseball after less than a year. Then, in the spring of his sixth-grade year, Daigo's school welcomes a transfer student, Sato Hikaru, whose father is Sato Toshiya, a former Major League player and Goro's close friend.
