Synopsis

"The moment the first gleam of sunlight trickled in gently stirring the folds of a shallow sleep—that was when the graffiti appeared..." Second installment in the Bungaku Video series, a collaborative project between contemporary Japanese literature and animation. Notes: - Based on the poem Rakugaki written by Makoto Takayanagi in 1999, included in the 2001 novel Yumeyume Waseruru Nakare. - Premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 10, 2025, as a part of the official selection in the Off-Limits category, where it also won the Off-Limits Award.
